Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are delighted to announce that the VenaZiel Vein Center located on Friedrichstrasse has officially been recognized as an observational center for VenaSeal treatments by the renowned company Medtronic for German doctors. A significant milestone was reached with the successful completion of the first Masterclass event, which took place from January 24th to 25th, 2024.
On the first day, January 24th, 2024, the theoretical part was held at the Venaziel Vein Center Berlin Friedrichstrasse. The fundamentals and latest findings on the VenaSeal treatment were presented. On the following day, January 25th, 2024, from 08:30 to 13:00, the practical part was conducted. In total, five procedures were performed, including 2 ClosureFast treatments on two veins each and 3 VenaSeal treatments on three veins each.
Mr. Sinke, the representative of VenaSeal, and Mr. Bassler Hohlenbach, representing Medtronic, supervised all organizational aspects of the event. After the workshop, Mr. Bassler Hohlenbach thanked us in an email and emphasized: “First of all, thank you once again for this perfect workshop. You have shown that VenaZiel is in a league of its own, both in terms of your organization and the execution of the procedures. On 24. and On January 25, a master class training on endoluminal treatment of CVI using thermal and non-thermal treatment methods took place for the first time at the VenaZIEL Berlin Friedrichstraße vein center.
On Wednesday afternoon, participants from all over Germany gathered at the vein center for a theoretical session and discussed treatment options based on the clinic and the sonographic findings of the patients to be treated the next day. Dr. Mahoozi presented the national and international differences in treating the disease in a presentation, highlighting the clear advantages of minimally invasive therapies compared to the conventional vein stripping surgery. The second day was the surgery day. A total of 5 patients were treated, 2 with ClosureFast, the thermal method, and 3 patients with VenaSeal, the non-thermal method. Each procedure treated at least 2-4 insufficient saphenous veins. The endothermic ablation proved to be a safe and reliable method, with the newer, non-thermal method, VenaSeal, being equally effective and also characterized by high patient comfort.
The participants were particularly impressed not only by the therapies themselves but also by the highly professional handling by the tutor Dr. Mahoozi and his team. The digital practice concept is highly standardized, leading to a smooth process, increasing patient safety, and allowing for seamless documentation.
We would like to thank Dr. Mahoozi, who, despite the training character, put the patient first, which motivates us to plan further Masterclass trainings at the VenaZiel vein center.”
Due to the successful course, we plan to offer two more workshops on June 5th/6th and November 6th/7th. We are thrilled about the positive feedback and the interest from doctors in further training.
