Successful masterclass event at the VenaZiel Vein Center Friedrichstraße

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, We are pleased to inform you that the VenaZiel Venenzentrum in Friedrichstrasse has been officially recognized as a hospitation center for VenaSeal treatments by the renowned company Medtronic for German doctors. A significant milestone was reached with the successful completion of the first Masterclass event, which took place from January 24 to 25, 2024. On the first day, January 24, 2024, the theoretical part took place at the Venaziel Venenzentrum Berlin Friedrichstrasse. Here, the basics and latest findings on VenaSeal treatment were presented. On the following day, 25.02.2024, the practical part was carried out from 08:30 to 13:00. A total of five procedures were performed, including 2 ClosureFast treatments with two veins each and 3 VenaSeal treatments with three veins each. Mr. Sinke, the representative of VenaSeal, and Mr. Bassler Hohlenbach, representing Medtronic, supervised all organizational aspects of the event. After the workshop, Mr. Bassler Hohlenbach thanked us in an email and emphasized: “First of all, thank you once again for this perfect workshop. Both in terms of your organization and the execution of the procedures, you showed that VenaZiel is in a league of its own. On January 24 and 25, a master class training on endoluminal treatment of CVI using thermal and non-thermal treatment methods was held for the first time at the VenaZIEL Berlin Friedrichstraße Vein Center. On Wednesday afternoon, participants from all over Germany gathered at the Vein Center for a theoretical part and discussed the treatment options based on the clinic and sonographic findings of the patients to be treated the following day. In a presentation, Dr. Mahoozi showed the national and international differences in the treatment of the clinical picture and illustrated the clear advantages of minimally invasive therapies compared to conventional vein stripping surgery. The second day was the operation day. A total of 5 patients were treated. 2 with ClosureFast, the thermal procedure, and 3 patients with VenaSeal, the non-thermal procedure. At least 2-4 insufficient truncal veins were treated in each procedure. Endothermal ablation proved to be a safe and reliable procedure, which was in no way inferior to the newer, non-thermal procedure, VenaSeal, and was also characterized by a high level of patient comfort. The participants were particularly impressed not only by the therapies themselves, but also by the highly professional handling by the tutor Dr. Mahoozi and his team. The digital practice concept is highly standardized, which leads to a smooth process, increases patient safety and allows complete documentation. We would like to thank Dr. Mahoozi, who put the patient first despite the training character, which motivates us to plan further Masterclass trainings at the VenaZiel Vein Center.” Due to the successful outcome, we are planning to offer two more workshops on June 5/6 and November 6/7. We are delighted with the positive feedback and the interest shown by doctors in further training courses.
