VenaSealTM (vein adhesive)

Over the last 10 years, the vein adhesive VenaSeal in Berlin has emerged as a genuine and very effective alternative. Unlike other procedures, the VenaSeal (vein glue) procedure does not require heat, sclerotherapy or anesthesia. The VenaSeal (vein glue) procedure is used to glue the diseased vein. The doctor uses the VenaSeal (vein glue) system to apply a small amount of a specially developed adhesive to the diseased vein. This eliminates the risk of damaging nerves when treating the small truncal vein. The adhesive is used to close the diseased vein and redirect the blood to healthy surrounding veins. However, treatment with anticoagulant medication is possible.

Radiofrequency treatment (EVRA)

Endovascular procedures (EVRA) use heat to damage or irritate the inner lining of the vein wall, causing the vein to spasm and thus close.

With the Radiofrequency treatment in Berlin a thin tube (catheter) is first inserted into the vein through a small incision. The catheter is then heated by passing an electric current through it to seal the vein from the inside out. After the treatment, the incision is closed and a compression bandage is applied. Recovery after radiofrequency ablation of varicose veins can vary from patient to patient. However, patients can usually return to their normal activities after a few days. It is recommended to wear compression stockings for a week to support the healing process.

Microfoam (or varixfoaming) treatment

Vein sclerotherapy – is a method of treating varicose veins that is several hundred years old.

Varicose veins are dilated or congested veins (known as varices in technical jargon).
A typical distinguishing feature are snake- or branch-shaped bulges that stand out clearly from the skin, often with nodules.
Varicose veins mainly appear on the legs.
This is because the veins in the legs have to work hardest against gravity to pump the blood to the heart.

In rare cases, however, they can also occur on other parts of the body. Varicose veins are not only a visual problem, they can also cause heavy and painful legs as well as secondary diseases. This makes it all the more important to recognize them early and treat them with microfoam therapy in Berlin.

Laser treatment with ELVeS® Radial®

Radiation laser systems are used to treat diseased vein sections.
This is a procedure in which the laser energy is emitted at the diseased vein wall.
The resulting thermal effect means that the diseased vein can be treated very well with laser treatment in Berlin.
It does not matter how large the diameter of the vein in question is.
They can therefore be used for very severe varicose veins as well as for varicose veins that are still at the very beginning of their pathogenesis.
This also includes varicose veins that have developed after previous surgery (recurrent varicosis).

During minimally invasive ELVeS® Radial® laser therapy for the removal of varicose veins in Berlin, the treating doctor carefully inserts an optical fiber, the ELVeS® Radial® probe, into the varicose vein via a small puncture site. Laser light is then emitted through the probe in a targeted and all-round (“radial”) manner. When the probe is withdrawn, the vein is closed like a zipper. The surrounding healthy tissue is spared as much as possible. In most cases, general anesthesia can be dispensed with; only a minimal local anesthetic is necessary. An inpatient stay in hospital is also not necessary in most cases.

Both during the treatment at your Vein Center Berlin and afterwards, patients experience little or no discomfort, and the desired result is visible immediately after the procedure. Thanks to the tiny puncture site, there is also no need to worry about larger scars. The recovery time is short and patients can resume their normal activities immediately after ELVeS® Radial® treatment.

Minimally invasive treatment with the ELVeS® Radial® laser treatment in Berlin is also particularly suitable for high-risk patients (e.g. those taking blood thinners), as the heat of the laser directly closes the varicose vein and automatically stops the bleeding. In addition, there is no risk of general anesthesia.
