The ClosureFast procedure or radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive technique for the treatment of varicose veins that is often and increasingly used as an alternative to conventional surgical removal of varicose veins (stripping).<\/p>\n
In the ClosureFast procedure, a special probe is inserted into the affected vein. The probe emits high-frequency radio waves, which heat the vein wall and ultimately cause the vein to shrink and close. The blood is then diverted through healthy veins.<\/p>\n

As a rule, patients can return to normal activities more quickly after the procedure (usually after 3 to 4 days).<\/p>\n 4- Less pain and discomfort:<\/strong><\/p>\n The ClosureFast procedure generally causes significantly less pain and discomfort than open surgical treatments. Most patients report a faster and easier recovery after a ClosureFast treatment.<\/p>\n 5- Better cosmetic results:<\/strong><\/p>\n In contrast to open surgical procedures, the ClosureFast treatment usually leaves only a small incision that is barely visible. This leads to better cosmetic results and a lower risk of scarring.<\/p>\n A multi-analysis of studies on the efficacy and safety of the ClosureFast procedure showed positive results. A study with 209 patients showed a success rate of 96% in the closure of varicose veins<\/a> after one year. Patients also reported an improvement in their symptoms such as pain, swelling and itching.<\/p>\n Another study with 300 patients showed similar results, with a success rate of 95% after one year. Patients also had a quick recovery time and were able to return to their normal activities within a few days after the procedure.
