The 1940nm vein laser. You deserve to be treated with the most advanced vein laser – a laser with the new 1940 nm wavelength. The 1940 nm technology for vein lasers represents the absolute pinnacle of what is physically possible in its segment. After many years of development and thousands of successfully operated patients worldwide, the 1940 nm wavelength from iMS GmbH is synonymous with:
- Precise and controlled treatment of the vein
- Excellent closure rates of the treated vein
- Particularly gentle on surrounding tissue
- best cosmetic results
- No scarring
- lowest energy load for your organism
The gentle new laser therapy Minimally invasive procedures have been used in vein therapy for many years and are becoming increasingly important compared to traditional procedures. The new SimLa-6 laser works differently to conventional vein laser systems: its precise effect is concentrated only where it is needed – inside the vein. The surrounding tissue or nerves remain unharmed, as this laser works with a longer wavelength. As a result, the laser’s light energy is more strongly absorbed and penetrates less deeply into the tissue. It spares the surrounding tissue and nearby nerves very effectively and the heat remains concentrated on the inside of the vein. This laser can therefore also be used in veins where conventional procedures cannot be used. Clear advantages of Simla-6: This is particularly important for the treatment of veins that run particularly close under the skin. Thermal procedures are often not suitable for these veins, as the heat effect can lead to skin discoloration and numbness. The flexible and wafer-thin SimLa catheter also allows this laser to be used in thin side branches of the veins for the first time.
Outpatient therapy. Patients can leave the practice on their own after a short waiting time. An inpatient stay is not necessary.
High effectiveness. Systematic follow-up studies since 2014 show: The simLa laser closes diseased veins at least as well and permanently as other minimally invasive procedures; skin discoloration (pigmentation) and discomfort such as tingling or numbness (paraesthesia) are extremely rare. Above all, the treated veins regress more quickly due to the gentler treatment with lower temperatures.
Fit the next day. A longer period of rest after the procedure is therefore not necessary. Most patients can return to their daily routine the very next day. Wearing compression stockings is also only necessary for a few days.
How is the new endovenous laser therapy performed? A thin laser probe is inserted into the affected varicose vein. This laser probe heats the vein walls in a precise and controlled manner. The laser fiber is slowly withdrawn, causing the vein to contract and close. The procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis and under local anesthesia.
Cost coverage by health insurance companies Endovenous laser treatment of varicose veins is now included in the benefits catalog of many statutory health insurance companies. Please contact your health insurance company to find out whether they will cover the costs. Thanks to our integrated care contracts (IV contracts) with the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), various company health insurance funds (BKK) and Innungskrankenkassen-Berlin-Brandenburg (IKK-BB), among others, we are able to offer comprehensive care to patients with varicose veins who have statutory health insurance. Please contact your health insurance company to find out whether they will cover the costs. Private health insurance companies generally cover the costs. I would also be happy to make you an individual offer as a self-payer.
