On 6th and On November 6th and 7th, 2024, the VenaZiel Venenzentrum Berlin had the honor of hosting the 4th VenaSeal Masterclass in collaboration with Medtronic. As an official training center for VenaSeal treatment in Germany, this was an excellent opportunity to share expertise, present innovations in vein treatment, and offer participating physicians a unique learning platform.
Theory and practice combined: a structured course structure
The two-day masterclass was carefully divided into two phases in order to convey both theoretical principles and practical experience:
Day 1: Theory and scientific basics
- Introduction to modern vein therapy with a focus on the VenaSeal adhesive technique, one of the gentlest and most innovative methods for treating varicose veins.
- Presentation of the latest scientific findings and discussion of proven clinical results.
- Insight into the decision-making process when choosing between VenaSeal and other treatment methods such as radiofrequency ablation (RFA).
- Interactive Q&A sessions that gave participants the opportunity to learn directly from one of the leading experts in the field.
Day 2: Practical learning in the OR
- The second day focused on practical application. A total of five operations were performed, including:
- Three VenaSeal treatments in which the innovative adhesive technology for treating varicose veins was demonstrated live.
- Two radiofrequency ablations, which are a complementary method to minimally invasive vein therapy.
- Participants had the opportunity to follow the procedures at close quarters while Dr. Hamidreza Mahoozi, Head of the VenaZiel Vein Center, explained the procedures in detail.

Under the guidance of Dr. Hamidreza Mahoozi, one of the leading experts, the Masterclass was not only an educational event but also an inspiration. With his extensive experience and commitment to sharing knowledge, Dr. Mahoozi guided participants through all aspects of VenaSeal and radiofrequency treatments – from diagnostics to the operative subtleties.
His ability to explain complex issues in an understandable way, coupled with his surgical precision, made the course an exceptional experience for all participants.
